The time will be from 5 .PM onwards. We'll have a drink and talk (fluent) English.

Note 1 : if you cannot stay the full two hours, that's no problem. You are welcome even for part of the event. Which means : please don't excuse yourself for being late you're NOT late, whatever the time you arrive .

Note 2 : here are the rules :

• Rule 1 : when you arrive, you tell the group if you want to be corrected by the others, or if you prefer to talk without being interrupted for corrections.

• Rule 2 : when someone is speaking, no one else speaks ; in particular, nobody interrupts him or her. Of course, you're supposed to be in a CONVERSATION with the other participants, which also means that if you're the one who is speaking, you don't monopolize the time for yourself. It's an occasion to EXCHANGE, not to RAMBLE (look up the word on the Internet if you don't know what it means ).

• Rule 3 : when the group is big enough to be split in subgroups of 4 or 5, we'll do so. And, after a while (30 to 45 minutes), the subgroups will mix, to provide opportunities for everybody to listen and talk to different participants. That way, everybody can still meet everybody else in the whole group.

• Rule 4 : absolutely NO FRENCH : the whole purpose of the grotup is to practice and improve talking English ; so, when you don't know a word or expression, try to find a way to describe what you want to say, using the English words you already know. Also, ask for help from the other participants : it's a very good way to increase the interactions within the group.

   

  The meeting will be followed by a meal somewhere in the city for those who want to extend the conviviality of the moment
